The Breakdown
So I found Buttercup Bake Shop on Instagram one day after seeing one of the amazing cookie designs they post. Naturally, I had to go to try them out for myself. I managed to go in on Saturday right before they closed for the day. Since that was the last day of their workweek, I wanted to try a few of their sweets. The shop is in Evans and it was so aesthetically pleasing. Their vibe is exactly what you would expect for a ‘bakeshop.’
I got the sugar cookie, bourbon cookie, chocolate cupcake and one of their 3-pack cookies that were PB&J-themed. Everything single thing was delicious. I was so happy that I got to try so many different items. Out of all of the sweets, the classic sugar cookie and the cupcake were my favorites. I usually don’t care for chocolate cupcakes, but that one seemed magical.
They have such a variety of items that makes me eager to go back. I was very impressed with everything.
What to expect
The items are reasonably priced so be prepared to be tempted to buying more than you came in for. The service was so amazing and we even signed up for their rewards program. And I’m pretty picky about who gets to have my email these days so that means something. They also have a great backdrop for photos so if you plan on dropping by, don’t forget to spruce yourself up so you can post all the photos you’re going to take while they package your sweets.
Since I live in Augusta, the only downfall with this bakeshop is that it’s not located closer to me. But I think it’s worth the quick drive.
P.S: The owner’s mom Tracy is who served us when we went and her energy and customer service were amazing. I’m going back just to see her.
Where should I go next?
